🐕 Who is the Akita?
The Akita Inu (秋田犬) is a purebred dog from Japan with a history spanning hundreds of years. Originally bred for hunting large game, they have since become a symbol of loyalty, dignity, and courage.
At Tamahagane Garden, we raise and develop Akita bloodlines from the authentic Meiyosho Lineage, encompassing both brindle (tora) and red (aka) coats. Our goal is to produce beautiful, healthy Akitas that meet the high standards for future competitions.

🏆 Fun Fact: What is “Meiyosho”?
The Meiyosho (名誉賞) is the highest honor awarded by the Akiho (Akita Inu Hozonkai) in Japanese conformation shows. Dogs that achieve this level are considered nearly perfect representations of the Akita breed—both in form and spirit.
